General Questions

Yes, RENT HOUSE offers a free plan that allows you to browse properties and view basic details. For advanced features like additional contact unlocks, featured listings, property boosting, and priority support, we offer paid plans for both tenants and landlords. You can create an account using your email address with OTP verification, or sign up instantly using your Google account. During registration, you choose your role (Tenant or Landlord) which determines your dashboard experience.
RENT HOUSE is available across India. Landlords can list properties in any city, and tenants can search by city or locality. Our search supports cities including Delhi NCR, Gurugram, Noida, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad. Yes! You can switch between Tenant and Landlord roles at any time from your dashboard. Simply click the "Switch to Tenant" or "Switch to Landlord" button in your dashboard sidebar or profile section. Each role has its own dedicated dashboard with relevant features and tools.
For your security, RENT HOUSE enforces a single-device login policy. This means your account can only be active on one device at a time. If you log in from a new device, your previous session will be automatically ended. This prevents unauthorized access and protects your personal information and contact credits.
For Tenants
Use our search bar on the home page to search by city, locality, or property type. You can filter results by BHK type, price range, furnishing status, and more. You can also save your search criteria as alerts to get notified when new matching properties are listed.
On any property detail page, click the "View Contact Details" button to unlock the landlord's phone number and email. This uses one contact credit from your plan. Free plan users get 5 unlocks, Basic users get 25, and Premium/Elite users get unlimited contact access. Your remaining credits are always visible in your dashboard.
RENT HOUSE offers a digital Rent Agreement service where you can create legally valid rental agreements online. Simply fill in the details, make the payment, and receive a professionally formatted agreement ready for signing. This saves you the hassle of visiting a lawyer or notary.
Yes, you can save any property by clicking the bookmark icon on the property card or detail page. All saved properties are accessible from your tenant dashboard under "Saved Properties" for easy reference and comparison.
Search Alerts notify you when new properties matching your criteria are listed. Set your preferred city, BHK type, and budget range, and we'll send you notifications when matching properties become available. You can manage all your alerts from the tenant dashboard.
For Landlords
From your landlord dashboard, click "Add New Property" and fill in the details including property type, location, rent, amenities, and photos. Your listing will be reviewed and published within 24 hours. You can upload multiple high-quality images which are automatically optimized for fast loading on all devices.
When a tenant unlocks your property's contact details, you will receive a notification via email and SMS with the tenant's contact details and message. All inquiries are also visible in your landlord dashboard for easy tracking and follow-up.
Featured properties receive a "Featured" badge and are displayed on the home page and at the top of search results, giving them more exposure to potential tenants. Featured listing slots are available with Basic (1 slot), Premium (3 slots), and Elite (unlimited) landlord plans.
Boost Property is a feature that temporarily increases your listing's visibility in search results for 7 days. When you boost a property, it appears higher in search results during that period. Boosting uses monthly credits from your plan — Basic landlords get 2 boosts/month, Premium get 5, and Elite get 10. You can track your remaining boost credits in your dashboard.
Yes! All property images uploaded to RENT HOUSE are automatically watermarked with the RENT HOUSE logo to prevent unauthorized use. Your original images are securely stored and the watermarked versions are displayed publicly. Images are also automatically optimized for fast loading without compromising quality.
The number of property listings depends on your plan. Free plan users can list 1 property, Basic users up to 5, Premium users up to 10, and Elite users have no listing limit. You can upgrade your plan anytime from the Pricing page to list more properties.
Payments & Membership
We accept payments through Razorpay including credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, and wallets like Paytm, PhonePe, and Google Pay. All transactions are processed over HTTPS and handled entirely by Razorpay — we do not store your card or bank details on our servers.
Yes, you can upgrade your plan at any time from the Pricing page. When upgrading, you will only be charged the difference for the remaining period. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase, provided no premium features (such as contact unlocks or rent agreements) have been used. Rent agreement fees are non-refundable once the document has been generated. For full details, see our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
For security, we limit OTP requests to 3 per day per email or phone number. The resend button appears after a 30-second cooldown. If you exceed the daily limit, you can still login using Google authentication.
Contact Credits are used to unlock landlord/owner contact details (phone number and email). Each time you view a property owner's contact information, one credit is consumed. Free tenants get 5 credits, Basic tenants get 25, and Premium/Elite tenants get unlimited credits. Your credit balance and full usage history are visible in your dashboard.
Account & Security
Your account is protected with multiple security layers: OTP-based passwordless login, single-device session enforcement, HTTPS encryption on all pages, and secure payment processing via Razorpay. We never store your payment card details on our servers.
Due to our single-device login policy, only one active session is allowed at a time. If someone logs in from another device, your current session will be terminated and you'll be logged out. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact our support team immediately.
You can request account deletion by contacting our support team via the Contact Us page or by emailing support@renthouse.co.in. Upon request, we will remove your personal data, property listings, and saved properties from our system.
